Ouagadougou: The Minister of Humanitarian Action and National Solidarity, Commander Passowende Pelagie Kabore Kabre, announced Thursday in Ouagadougou the holding of the national solidarity campaign 'D?m? Sira', scheduled from November 14, 2025, to January 31, 2026. The campaign aims to rally the nation's resources to support vulnerable citizens.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the 'D?m? Sira' campaign seeks to enhance the values of sharing, unity, and mutual aid across the nation. It is designed to engage citizens, the diaspora, businesses, and partners in a national movement of solidarity. The minister highlighted that Burkina Faso is experiencing security and humanitarian challenges affecting many lives, and the campaign is a testament to the enduring spirit of national solidarity.
Commander Kabore/Kabre emphasized that the initiative aims to transform solidarity into a national priority, urging every citizen to contribute. The campaign will feature a solidarity caravan across the country's 13 regions, hosting various activities such as community meetings and actions, donations, theatre performances, forums, and discussions to promote the spirit of togetherness.
The campaign is more than an event; it is a call to the nation's core values, urging participation from all sectors of society including civil society, youth, women, and the diaspora, to build a resilient and compassionate Burkina Faso.
