Nayala Residents Commemorate Fourth Year of Progressive and Popular Revolution with Community Activities

Toma:Nayala: Residents from the six communes of Nayala province gathered in Toma on Wednesday to mark the fourth anniversary of the Progressive and Popular Revolution (RPP) with a series of community events, including a thanksgiving mass and sanitation operations at local facilities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony began with a mass at the Sacred Heart Church in Toma, where prayers were offered for peace, security, and prosperity in Burkina Faso, as well as in memory of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and others who have died defending the country.

Following the church service, participants moved to the Medical Center with surgical unit (CMA) in Toma to conduct cleaning and sanitation activities, and later to the old gendarmerie brigade for similar efforts.

Honor© Fr©d©ric Par©, the High Commissioner of Nayala, emphasized areas such as security, agriculture, health, education, and sports. He urged the community to enhance solidarity, civic responsibility, and the maintenance of public property. He also provided guidance on helmet safety in the San language.

Abdoul Aziz Ganam, the provincial director of the National Police of Nayala and sponsor of the M30 Movement's anniversary celebrations, stressed the importance of order, discipline, and civic-mindedness. He encouraged young people to resist misinformation and actions detrimental to social cohesion.

Constantin Sow, the chief medical officer of the Toma health district, expressed gratitude for the community's involvement and highlighted the communal responsibility in maintaining health facilities. He advised residents to continue these efforts at home, focusing on preventing stagnant water and mosquito breeding.

Yaya Par©, president of the CPAVC of Nayala, acknowledged the strong community turnout and advocated for the continuation of collective efforts toward the nation's transformation, particularly in security and development.

The day's events concluded with a call to sustain civic engagement and sanitation practices, contributing to development and social cohesion in Nayala.
