Northern Governor Addresses Community and Child Safety

Manama:The Northern Governorate's Security Committee convened under the leadership of Hassan Abdullah Mohammed Al Madani to deliberate on matters of community safety, with a particular emphasis on the protection of children and the implementation of preventive measures.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Brigadier Saleh Rashid Fahad Al Dossari, Director General of the Northern Governorate Police Directorate, and other committee members participated in the meeting.

Discussions focused on increasing awareness about the safe use of electric scooters, especially by children, and the crucial role parents play in their safety. The committee also reviewed incidents of children being left inside buses and explored ways to enhance preventive and supervisory measures through improved coordination among relevant authorities to prevent such occurrences.

Al Madani underscored the importance of children's safety as a fundamental priority. He stressed that awareness-raising and the strengthening of preventive measures require the collective efforts of families, schools, relevant authorities, and the broader community. He advocated for a proactive approach that includes awareness, monitoring, intervention, and prevention. He also highlighted that legislative and regulatory measures are essential to enhancing safety, protecting lives, and preventing risks.
