Noumbiel Province Mobilizes for Citywide Sanitation Effort

Noumbiel: A day of cleanliness for the arteries of the beautiful "City of Da Maar" unfolded as part of the ongoing activities of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) in Noumbiel. The province's constituted bodies, along with the civilian population, participated in a sanitation day on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Batie to clean the city's arteries.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative saw a large turnout of individuals equipped with brooms, shovels, and rakes, responding to the call of the province's top officials. This effort follows the launch of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation on Thursday, March 26, marked by the solemn raising of the national colors.

The activity involved administrative, military, paramilitary authorities, and civilian population participants. From the High Commissioner's residence to the central market, the streets were cleared of garbage, demonstrating a collaborative effort to maintain the city's cleanliness.

Issoufou Sory, the president of the special delegation of the commune of Batie, commended the mobilization, highlighting its significance as a collective interest. Simeon Toe, the province's secretary general, emphasized the importance of such participation: "This demonstrates the interest you have in this day," he remarked.
