Kaya: The legal recognition of customary and traditional justice, enshrined in Law No. 003-2026/ALT of January 14, 2026, concerning Faso Bu-kaore, dominated the work of the first ordinary session of 2026 of the Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) of Sandbondtenga, held Tuesday in Kaya.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this major reform of the Burkinabe justice system aims, as per communicator Antoine Boena, deputy prosecutor, to structure and regulate endogenous justice practices, while linking them with the formal judicial system.
For Antoine Boena, the Faso Bu-kaore law constitutes "a decisive step forward" as it values practices that have long been informal, while placing them within a secure legal framework.
