Sapouy: The "Revolutionary Youth on the March" (JeRM) initiative was officially launched on Thursday at the Sapouy High Commission, in the presence of administrative authorities, heads of services, defense and security forces, as well as leaders of civil society organizations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative is driven by a dynamic of citizen mobilization and aims to perpetuate the revolutionary spirit among the youth, in line with the vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore.
In his address, the High Commissioner of Ziro Province, Saba Zorome, urged young people to fully embrace this initiative by engaging in it both individually and collectively. He called on them to demonstrate discipline, patriotic commitment, and responsibility in order to actively contribute to the development of the province and the country.
The launch ceremony was marked by a popular cross-country race through the city of Sapouy, the provincial capital, followed by an aerobics session. These sporting activities successfully engaged young people and promoted the values of social cohesion, solidarity, and well-being.
Through this initiative, the authorities intend to unite young people around the ideals of patriotism, civic-mindedness, and citizen participation, with a view to building a resilient and sovereign nation.
