Bale: Officials from the province lined up on the morning of Monday, February 2, 2026, in front of the tax office to pay their various taxes and duties. This initiative to promote tax compliance in the province was part of the monthly flag-raising ceremony hosted by the tax office.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the provincial high commissioner, provincial secretary general, the PDS of the city of Boromo, judicial and military authorities, directors, and heads of department were at the forefront to fulfill their civic duty. A special counter was set up to streamline service, making it easier for administrative officials and the public to pay their TVM and TR taxes. The event was marked by a sense of pride and patriotism as individuals left with their receipts.
The initiative provided High Commissioner Matin Bako an opportunity to commend the tax services staff and acknowledge the successful tax and duty collection in 2025, which benefited the state budget and local authorities. He emphasized that paying taxes is a civic responsibility that supports the state in executing significant projects, which are a source of pride for the nation.
DPI Bou Elie Bitie expressed appreciation for the authorities' support, highlighting the initiative as an invitation for the province's economic actors, individuals, and the general population to visit tax offices in Boromo, Fara, or Bagassi to declare and pay their taxes and duties.
