Ouagadougou: Beneficiaries of the 2026 Driver’s License Operation (OPC) in the Kadiogo region are urged to demonstrate determination, discipline, and commitment to obtain their driver’s licenses. The Regional Director of Sports, Youth, and Employment (DRSJE) for Kadiogo, Comrade Bªbª Arnaud NOUFE, challenged the cohort to complete success.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the official launch ceremony for the training of beneficiaries was held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, in the reception hall of the Ouagadougou City Hall, in the presence of the actors involved in the implementation of this initiative for youth. In a firm yet encouraging address, the Regional Director reminded the beneficiaries that a driver’s license represents much more than a simple administrative document. It constitutes a genuine tool for professional integration, empowerment, and the development of responsibility among young people.
‘Despite the difficult security and economic context, the State is making significant efforts to subsidize this training. Those who are not ready to go all the way can withdraw now. We want young people who are determined, disciplined and committed to succeeding,’ said Comrade Bªbª Arnaud NOUFE. Continuing his address, he encouraged the participants to appreciate the value of this opportunity and to adopt a responsible attitude throughout the training process. He also challenged them to achieve a 100% success rate at the end of this session in Kadiogo.
This appeal garnered support from the beneficiaries who expressed their commitment to taking up the challenge and doing everything they could to obtain their driver’s license. During direct discussions with participants, several concerns regarding the training program were raised. The staff present provided appropriate responses in a spirit of listening, dialogue, and trust.
Alongside the ceremony, the beneficiaries attended educational presentations focusing on topics such as road safety, a culture of peace, and civic values. The first presentation was given by Comrade Arouna Sawadogo of the Kadiogo Regional Directorate of Youth, Popular Education and Sport (DRSJE). The second, dedicated to the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP), was delivered by Comrade Karim Compaor of the General Directorate of Youth, Popular Education and Sport (DGAJEP).
Through these various interventions, officials invited young people to cultivate responsibility, citizenship, discipline, and commitment, in order to become fully involved actors in the development of Burkina Faso.
