Namentenga: The Boulsa 1 Basic Education District (CEB) marked the conclusion of the 2025-2026 school year with a ceremony that highlighted the achievements of top students and teachers. The event, held on June 17, 2026, also served as the official launch for the new school year. Awards were presented to the top 22 performers in the Primary School Leaving Certificate (CEP) exam and teachers who were recognized for their outstanding contributions.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony was made possible through the support of CEB stakeholders and partners. The 22 top-performing students were awarded bicycles, school kits, and t-shirts to encourage their academic efforts. In addition, the best teacher, Clarisse Zongo/Tiendrbogo from Boulsa Nord school, and another top teacher, Sadou Tiendrbogo from Boulsa C school, were each rewarded with a tablet.

School principals and sponsors of cultural and sporting activities received certificates of recognition for their dedication and contributions throughout the school year. Apollinaire Godo, head of the CEB school canteen, symbolically presented one kilogram of improved seeds to inaugurate the school fields in Gusinbingba-Sall.

The ceremony’s sponsor, Hamidou Pascal Lonfo, commended the dynamism of the CEB and the leadership of the Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) for the impressive academic results. He expressed optimism that this organizational model could serve as an inspiration for other CEBs across the Namentenga province.

Lonfo also acknowledged the CEB’s success in the CEP exam, with 804 out of 819 candidates passing, achieving a success rate of 98.16%. Inspector Charles Zongo, Head of the Boulsa 1 Basic Education District, congratulated all stakeholders for the results and encouraged them to maintain this level of performance. Special recognition was given to top officials and sponsors, including Salif Zabr, known as “Faroteur,” for their contributions toward achieving the set objectives.
