Ouagadougou: The Regional Director of Sports, Youth and Employment of Kadiogo, Bªbª Arnaud Noufe, announced the commencement of accepting application files for the 2026 edition of the Driving Licence Operation (OPC) in a ceremony held on Monday. This government initiative aims to promote the socio-professional integration of young people and enhance road safety across the region.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event took place at the Kadiogo Provincial Directorate of Youth and Employment, located at the high commission. During the ceremony, Noufe urged young applicants to exhibit discipline, responsibility, and civic engagement. He emphasized that the operation is designed to cultivate citizens who respect conduct rules and uphold republican values. Noufe highlighted that the driving licence should represent a tool of responsibility rather than a mere administrative document.
Furthermore, Noufe encouraged young people to be inspired by the ideals of the People's Progressive Revolution (PPR), which focuses on patriotism, work, order, and discipline. He underscored the importance of the call for order and discipline made by the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, urging beneficiaries to demonstrate exemplary behavior in society. The Driving Licence Operation, initiated by the Ministry responsible for Youth, seeks to bolster the employability of young individuals while educating them on the importance of adhering to the highway code and practicing good driving habits.
Beno®t Isma«l NAMOUTOUGOU, the acting provincial director of Youth and Employment in Kadiogo, stated that the region has been allocated a quota of 326 beneficiaries, which includes 60 category D permits and 266 category C permits.
