Oudalan’s New Police Director Vows to Establish Province as Peaceful Haven

Oudalan: The new provincial director of the National Police (DPPN) of Oudalan, Chief Commissioner of Police Sawadogo Daouda, expressed, on Thursday in Gorom-Gorom, his determination to meet the security challenges and strengthen social cohesion in order to make the province a true haven of peace, during the handover of duties between him and his predecessor.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony took place under the chairmanship of the High Commissioner of the province of Oudalan, Valentin Mar©, in the presence of customary and religious authorities, constituted bodies as well as the defense and security forces.

The new provincial director stated that he was driven by "a desire to serve with loyalty and professionalism." He pledged to address the province's main challenges, including the fight against terrorism, guaranteeing individual and collective freedoms, and improving road traffic.

Chief Commissioner Sawadogo said he was counting on the support of administrative, customary and religious authorities, defense and security forces, Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) and the population.

"The National Police is here for you. They need your support to better serve you. Together, in order and discipline, we will make Oudalan a haven of peace," he said.

He also expressed his gratitude to the highest authorities for the trust placed in him.

The outgoing director, Maouibadan Patrice Nebi©, assured his availability to support his successor and invited the staff and the population to give him their support.

He also thanked the High Commissioner and the people of Oudalan province for their support during his mission.

The High Commissioner, Valentin Mar©, praised the quality of the collaboration with the outgoing director and congratulated him on the actions taken in support of peace.

He invited all stakeholders to support the new DPPN in fulfilling his mission.

The High Commissioner specified that the outgoing chief commissioner, Maouibadan Patrice Nebi©, has been appointed provincial director of the National Police of Passor©.
