Passoré: Daouda Sangaré installed in his new role as High Commissioner

Yako, The Secretary General of the Northern region, Kuilga Albert Zongo, officially installed the Civil Administrator, Daouda Sangaré on Saturday in Yako as the new High Commissioner of the Passoré province.

After 9 months and 3 days spent at the head of the Passoré High Commission, Laurent K. Kontogom passes the baton of command to the civil administrator, Daouda Sangaré appointed by the Council of Ministers at its meeting of October 18, 2023.

The official installation ceremony took place on Saturday in front of parents, friends, collaborators of the High Commissioner who came and went, the constituted bodies, administrative, military, paramilitary, customary and religious authorities of the Passoré province.

Nicknamed “The second Amadou Hampaté Ba” by the Secretary General of the Northern region (SGR), Kuilga Albert Zongo for his literary and editorial qualities through his very detailed reports which he regularly transmitted to the Governor of the Northern region, Laurent K.Kontogom first expressed his thanks to all the bodies of the province for their frank collaboration and support from which he benefited during the exercise of his missions as High Commissioner.

The now former High Commissioner of the province then magnified the resilience of the population in a context of insecurity experienced by certain villages in the province.

Then, the aforementioned Amadou Hampaté Ba made a point of giving a nod to all the VDP and FDS of the province and more particularly to the VDP of the commune of Bagaré for their bravery and excessive determination.

Which determination considered more than patriotic according to the words of Mr. Kontogom, made it possible to restore tranquility in this locality bordering the provinces of Nayala, Sourou and Zondoma.

The representative of the directors and department heads of Passoré, Halidou Konfé, said he had retained several qualities of the former High Commissioner. Qualities that he wanted to summarize as loyalty, self-sacrifice, listening, openness to dialogue as well as working very well.

Continuing in his address, Mr. Konfé also described the man as a “tireless manager” for his pleasant and fruitful collaboration, through which he was able to guide and direct his constituents despite his brief stay in the province.

Reassuring the new High Commissioner, Daouda Sangaré of the unreserved support of all the directors and department heads of Passoré, Halidou Konfé noted the enthusiasm and pride of his colleagues in welcoming him to Passoré.

By taking into account the destiny of the province, Daouda Sangaré said he took stock of the heavy responsibility that is his, in particular that of coordinating the implementation of development actions within his territorial jurisdiction.

Recognizing that there is no solitary work, the new provincial authority has made it clear that the success of its mission requires both its commitment, its self-sacrifice, its perseverance and above all relevance in its interventions but also support. of its administrators.

The SGR expressed all the recognition of the Governor of the Northern region, Raymond David Valentin Ouédraogo to Laurent K. Kontogom for the work done before particularly asking the customary and religious authorities as well as the constituted bodies of the province to support the new High Commissioner in the exercise of his functions in Passoré.

From Passoré, the outgoing High Commissioner is still called to the functions of High Commissioner in Houet, where he will also have to exercise the functions of president of the delegation of the commune of Bobo-Dioulasso due to his special status.

Before his appointment as High Commissioner of Passoré, Daouda Sangaré had already served as Prefect of the departments of Niangoloko, in Comoé, Zitenga (Oubritenga), Bama (Houet) then Secretary General of the province of Kourwéogo.
