Patriotic Commitment: Citizen Watch Continues to Clean the Gutters in Toma

Nayala: The president of the Nayala citizen watch, Jean No«l Foro, organized this Tuesday, the tenth day of cleaning the gutters of the city of Toma, as part of the association's commitment to urban sanitation.

According to Burkina Information Agency, volunteers began work early in the morning on the section from the stop sign on the road connecting the tarmac to the town hall. Despite the absence of a crane truck to lift the paving slabs, they continued cleaning until 1:45 p.m.

For this day, the president of the National Collective for Refoundation (CNR), Thierry Ky, brought a tricycle, while the head of the sanitation service, Anatole Niamba, provided the one from the town hall.

Residents and shopkeepers along the gutter also contributed to the effort by providing various material and financial aid. This solidarity raised nearly 10,000 CFA francs.

According to the organizers, this support strengthens the teams' determination to complete the cleaning, which has been carried out every Saturday for several weeks.

At the end of the work, Presidents Noel Foro and Thierry Ky led an awareness session to remind residents of the need to take care of the gutters, emphasizing that keeping the city clean is a collective responsibility.

The resumption of activities is planned for the Saturday following the Feast of the Assumption, and this will continue every weekend until the planned 5 kilometers of gutters are fully completed.
