Ouagadougou: Subscribers of the Popular Shareholding through Community Entrepreneurship (APEC) in the Nazinon region elected Paul Ou©draogo as the primary delegate and Nassirata Bouda as the alternate delegate to represent them within the Cooperative Society with a Board of Directors (SCOOP-CA/APEC) at the section's general assembly on Friday in Manga. This assembly, chaired by the governor of the Nazinon region, Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma, mobilized subscribers from the different provinces of the region, as well as APEC officials.
According to Burkina Information Agency, at the conclusion of the general assembly proceedings, the participants elected their regional representatives, including Paul Ou©draogo as regional delegate and Nassirata Bouda as alternate. The new regional delegate, Paul Ou©draogo, has placed his mandate under the sign of effective shareholder representation, social and financial mobilization, as well as accountability. "It will not only be a matter of being present in the bodies, but of bringing the concerns of Nazinon shareholders to the table and regularly reporting on the decisions taken," he stated. Mr. Ou©draogo invited the population to show patience and confidence towards this project, the benefits of which are expected in the medium and long term.
The Director General of APEC, Karim Traor©, praised the mobilization of the participants and paid tribute to the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) as well as the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). "It is thanks to their commitment that this Nazinon region section assembly is being held today in complete serenity," he said. He recalled that the Popular Shareholding aims to mobilize national savings in order to finance economic and industrial projects led by Burkinabe people themselves, in a dynamic of valuing endogenous resources and promoting national expertise.
The governor of Nazinon, Massadalo Yvette Nacoulma, indicated that this meeting also responded to an imperative of accountability. "Three years after its launch, it was important to reconnect with subscribers to take stock of the implementation of activities and share the results obtained," she explained. The top official in the region also invited the population to strengthen their support for the presidential initiative. "Subscribing to APEC means making a collective commitment to development through the mobilization of endogenous resources. I invite the people of Nazinon to make APEC their preferred instrument for taking charge of local development," she said.
