Gaoua: The governor of the Dj´r´ region, Siaka Barro, officially launched the paving works of the Faso Mªbo initiative in Gaoua this Saturday morning. The ceremony was attended by administrative, military, religious, and traditional authorities, as well as a large mobilization of the local population.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Siaka Ouattara, the president of the special delegation of the Gaoua commune and president of the donation reception committee for the Faso Mªbo initiative in the Dj´r´ region, noted that the appeal for donations made by the governor in October 2025 had led to strong mobilization from the public, private sectors, and committed individuals.
Ouattara praised the vision of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, and the commitment of the governor of the Dj´r´ region. He stated, "Thanks to this patriotic momentum, the necessary materials for the production of paving stones intended for the beautification of the city of Bafudji have been gathered."
He expressed his gratitude to the committee members, administrative authorities, organized bodies, the people of Gaoua, and all donors for their availability, sacrifice, and contributions. He emphasized that every contribution, regardless of its size, was crucial to the success of the initiative.
Governor Siaka Barro highlighted that the initiative received strong support from the population from the onset, reflecting their commitment to the vision of the Transitional President, Captain Ibrahim Traor©.
He acknowledged the mobilization around the paving site and commended the reception committee for their outstanding work in collecting substantial donations. He thanked the committee president for his daily involvement on the site and all committee members. He also expressed his gratitude to public and private sector actors, organized bodies, religious and traditional authorities, and the people of the Dj´r´ region for their patriotic commitment.
Barro concluded by emphasizing that this action represents a community initiative that requires the participation of all, urging everyone to continue efforts in this spirit of solidarity and development.
