Pedagogical Conference Focuses on Curriculum Endogenization in Gorom-Gorom

Gorom-Gorom:The annual pedagogical conference for primary school teachers from CEB Gorom-Gorom 1 and 2 commenced on Wednesday with a focus on curriculum endogenization, particularly in history, geography, and civic and moral education. The main theme centers around the development and exploitation of integration situations.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference, which began on October 7 and will conclude on October 10, 2026, aims to enhance teachers' skills in developing and utilizing integration situations, alongside integrating local content into educational curricula.

Wendnonga Mile Djiguimd, CCEB of Gorom-Gorom 1, welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of the conference theme in improving student assessments. He highlighted the support from the Gorom-Gorom commune's special delegation in education and advocated for facilities suitable for educational conferences.

Oussini Moukaylou Maïga, Provincial Director of Basic Education and the Promotion of National Languages for Oudalan, commended the education stakeholders for their achievements and urged continued efforts to address educational challenges.

The Minister of Basic Education and the Promotion of National Languages, through a speech read by Amadou Boureima, second vice-president of the special delegation of the commune of Gorom-Gorom, encouraged teachers to be punctual, diligent, and constructive. The minister stressed the importance of mastering techniques for developing and harmonizing integration situations and endogenizing curriculum content.

The proceedings were officially opened, setting the stage for four days of capacity building and harmonization of teaching practices, aiming to improve learning quality and align education with Burkina Faso's socio-cultural realities.
