As part of the activities of the national patriotic days, the populations of the town of Djibo were strongly mobilized on Sunday, April 7 for a sanitation activity within the grounds of the town hall of Djibo.From 7:00 am, the defense and security forces as usual were already on the scene. It was about half an hour later that the people, also in small groups of young people, came to occupy the town hall for cleaning.Everyone, equipped with brooms, picks or shovels, did not want to stay on the sidelines. At 8:00 am, the departure was given by Mr. Marou ILBOUDO, Prefect, President of the Special Delegation of Djibo.It should be noted that on behalf of the FDS, we had the presence of elements of the 14th RIA, the national gendarmerie, the national and municipal police, the prison security guard and the Homeland Defense Volunteers.Youth citizen watch associations in the city have also mobilized their members for this purpose.All the nooks and crannies of the Town Hall premises were visited in order to m ake the places worthy of the response to the call of the President of Faso.Dead leaves, piles of garbage, plastic bags, nothing was left behind and everything that was unwanted was burned on site or thrown in the trash.The women, who came a little later, took the brooms from the hands of the FDS to show them their gratitude for the security work carried out.A good will of the city was kind enough to put a water tank at the disposal of the town hall for watering the flowers, anything which contributes to the beautification of the place.Already at 10 am, the town hall of Djibo had had a makeover. The sun also began to display its rays and the heat its effects.As the morning's activity ended, many people who had received the information late came running to join the others.The President of the Special Delegation, surrounded by the various leaders of the FDS and his First Vice-President, made his closing remarks by greeting all the active forces mobilized and thanking each one individually for this pa triotic commitment which, beyond the cleaning of the Town Hall, created a dynamic between the FDS and the population who once again worked in a good-natured atmosphere.
