Sapon©: DTO PICTURES DESIGN organized the third edition of Photos'Or BF from August 11 to 19, 2025. The event featured a photography hike, training sessions, a masterclass, and an opening ceremony.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event concluded with an exhibition of around thirty photographic works. Approximately sixty participants embarked on a photographic hike in Sapon©, capturing the creation process of the renowned Sapon© hat. The event's promoter, Dieudonn© Ouoba, expressed satisfaction with the program's success, noting the joy in seeing young talents travel and exhibit their work.
Representing the Minister of Culture, Aim©e Ki encouraged photographers to use their art to promote social cohesion. Ki emphasized the importance of photography in restoring peace, marking World Photography Day with a positive cultural milestone.
Moumouni Compaor©, the edition's sponsor, praised the promotion of the Sapon© hat, highlighting its cultural significance and the exposure it brings to their heritage. Certificates of recognition were awarded to Edith Bakala of ‚¬Å¡¬€¦¡¬€š¬¦¡¬€š¬…¡¬¦¡¬°ditions Sidwaya and Paul Kabr© for their dedication to photography. Bakala dedicated her award to women and urged them to pursue careers in photography.
The event also included training for 16 young photographers and a masterclass organized with the Chamber of Trades and the Burkinabe National Tourism Organization. Photos'Or BF aligned with the celebration of World Photography Day on August 19, showcasing the vitality and cultural richness of photography in the region.
