Pô: 250 Burkinabè repatriated from Ghana, the government visits them

On Tuesday, July 11, 2023, 250 Burkinabè were repatriated from Ghana and received at School A of Dakola in the commune of Pô by the local authorities. A government delegation went the next day, Wednesday July 12, to show them their solidarity.

To show its solidarity with its compatriots, the Burkinabè government dispatched on Wednesday July 12, 2023 two ministers to the reception site for returnees from Ghana.

They are the ministers of humanitarian action Nandy Somé/Diallo and the delegate for security Mahamadou Sana.

These Burkinabè from the Fulani community were repatriated without any minimum (clothing, food and money) and without any prior consultation, indicated the Minister for Humanitarian Action Nandy Somé.

She promised that basic necessities would be sent the same day to relieve them.

According to the social action services, 85 women, 35 men and 130 children have been registered.
