Poni: Cultural actors in Gaoua organized a collective breaking of the fast on Wednesday in Gaoua, bringing together cultural and administrative actors and the population in a spirit of fraternity, conviviality, sharing, and prayers, with a view to consolidating cohesion between cultural actors, youth, and the people of the city.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was initiated by cultural actors from the city of Bafuji and gathered several participants around a meal in a family atmosphere marked by living together. The representative of cultural actors, Arouna Ouedraogo, emphasized that the activity aimed to bring cultural actors closer together and strengthen their ties with the population and young people of the city.
"This is an initiative to bring cultural players together around a small, collective farewell gathering in order to further strengthen cohesion between cultural players, the population and the youth of the city," Ouedraogo stated. He explained that the idea emerged from discussions among several cultural promoters who then involved the provincial directorate in charge of Culture to secure the Gaoua museum as the venue.
Schadrac Toe, the curator of the Gaoua museum, praised the initiative for its social impact and the level of mobilization observed. "We saw many people mobilized for this collective break. I think it's a very important initiative. It allowed actors to interact and commune together," Toe noted.
Through this collective breaking of the fast, the cultural actors of Gaoua aim to make culture a lever for social rapprochement, dialogue, and the consolidation of living together in the city.
