Poni: The special delegation of the commune of Bouroum-Bouroum held its first ordinary session of the year 2026 on Thursday, March 12, under the chairmanship of the president of the special delegation, Brahima Kindo. The meeting gathered administrative, customary, and religious authorities, as well as the heads of the technical services of the municipality.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session focused on four significant agenda items. These included the reading and adoption of the minutes from the last ordinary session of the special delegation, the presentation of the president's special report on management for 2025, the examination and adoption of new deliberations, and various miscellaneous items.
The chairman of the special delegation stated that the primary aim of the session was to review the activities undertaken during 2025 and to outline plans for 2026. Challenges highlighted included issues with the recovery of municipal resources, insufficient revenue-generating activities, and a lack of staff in certain strategic positions.
During the session, under miscellaneous business, the chairman introduced the new ROPI (Opportunities and Integration Mentors) service. The members were encouraged to support this initiative to aid local youth through the mentorship program.
