Passore/pilimpikou: The Upper Secondary Team Wins the Opening Match of the Principal's Cup: The Principal's Cup of the Pilimpikou Departmental High School (LDP) was officially launched on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, on the school grounds in Pilimpikou. The upper secondary team won the opening match decisively 6-0.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the official launch ceremony for this competition was held in the presence of departmental authorities and representatives from the local education community. A total of nine teams from the town's high schools and middle schools are participating. The opening match pitted the upper elementary team against the 5th grade B team, resulting in a resounding 6-0 victory for the upper elementary team.

Under the theme "Solidarity and Living Together," this edition aims to promote the values of social cohesion, mutual support, and fraternity among students. The principal of the Pilimpikou Departmental High School, Socrate Bassole, emphasized the importance of this activity in building a united and supportive school community, beyond its sporting aspect.

The opening ceremony was punctuated by dance performances from the students, adding a cultural touch to the event.
