Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, delivered a firm speech on Friday in Ouahigouya before the vital forces of the Yaadga region, denouncing the condescension of certain foreign powers and the harmful influence of stateless people.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the President expressed concerns over the inability of some foreign entities to accept Burkina Faso's exercise of sovereignty. He referenced a recent decision to sever diplomatic relations with a particular state, suggesting that the reaction from this decision highlighted a colonial-era mindset. Captain Traor© remarked on the condescending attitude of these powers, which he believes is rooted in outdated perceptions.

The President discussed the struggle of some external actors to accept an African state's sovereign decisions. He likened this to historical reflexes from slavery and colonial domination, positing that such attitudes are meant to deter aspirations for autonomy. He cited recent attacks in Gay©ri, Solhan, and Sebba as examples of this mindset in action.

Captain Traor© also highlighted what he perceives as an information warfare strategy. He criticized foreign media outlets for using African journalists to propagate narratives that weaken Burkina Faso. He lamented the participation of some Burkinabe in spreading messages contrary to national interests.

The President warned of internal threats, indicating that "our enemies are with us." He urged citizens who support the Revolution to remain discerning and not be misled by individuals he termed as "stateless." He cautioned that believing in such rhetoric could incite confusion and anxiety among the population.
