Ouagadougou: Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo received a technical team from the National Identification Office (ONI) on the morning of December 1, 2025, to register him for the Sahel Confederation Biometric Identity Card (CIB-AES). After completing the various stages of the registration process, he received his CIB-AES.

According to Burkina Information Agency, his registration follows that of the President of Burkina Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traore, who also received his CIB-AES that same day. The CIB-AES, made of polycarbonate and equipped with advanced security devices, offers guarantees of reliability, durability, and protection of personal data in accordance with the most demanding international standards.

From January 2026, the CIB-AES will be accessible to every citizen of the AES area from the age of 5, at a cost of 3,500 FCFA. Its validity period is ten years.
