Provincial Conference in Pama Focuses on Social Peace and Mental Well-Being

Kompienga: A provincial conference aimed at promoting social peace and mental well-being was held in Pama, presided over by Moustapha Sanon, the President of the Special Delegation of the commune of Pama. The event was initiated by the Association "Main Tendue aux Petits Orphelins" (AMPTO).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference gathered traditional and religious leaders, community leaders, internally displaced persons, and administrative authorities. Moustapha Sanon praised AMPTO's engagement with the community and the relevance of the conference topics.

The discussions underscored that promoting social cohesion requires collective, daily efforts from all citizens. Participants were encouraged to play active roles in fostering unity within their communities.

The conference also highlighted that mental health and psychosocial support should be a community-wide concern and not just the duty of professionals. This awareness initiative aims to encourage community vigilance on issues such as solidarity and coexistence, especially in a province that faces significant security and humanitarian challenges.

AMPTO's efforts through this event are geared towards enhancing community interaction and resilience in the face of ongoing difficulties.
