Koosin: The provincial director of pre-school, primary, and non-formal education of Koosin, FrEdEric Nindamou YEhoun, engaged in discussions with teachers on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, to address pressing issues affecting schools.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the dialogue took place after the Dokuy Basic Education District (CEB) football final, which saw Makuy school triumph over Kamadena school with a score of two goals to zero. During this event, YEhoun took the opportunity to discuss with CEB teachers the significant challenges they face.
Teachers and education stakeholders raised critical issues during the meeting, highlighting the shortage of staff, insufficient desks and benches, and a lack of transportation options. Additionally, the absence of adequate water points and latrines in schools was identified as an ongoing problem needing urgent attention.
FrEdEric YEhoun acknowledged the legitimacy of these concerns and promised that solutions would be forthcoming. In a gesture of goodwill, YEhoun also paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of the canton, Dramane SangarE, during his stay.
The meeting concluded with the Head of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Dokuy, Anselme Taro, presenting certificates of merit to two inspectors and the CEB manager in recognition of their significant contributions to education services.
