Sissili: The monthly flag-raising ceremony was held this Thursday, November 4, 2025, at the Provincial Directorate of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training of Sissili, thus marking the anchoring of this patriotic ritual within the education sector. Chaired by the High Commissioner, Tewende Isaac Sia, this edition brought together constituted bodies, administrative officials, teaching staff and students.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Sia emphasized the symbolic significance of choosing a "temple of knowledge" for this civic exercise. "It is here that the elite of tomorrow are formed, and instilling patriotic values in young people is imperative for the consolidation of our sovereignty," he declared.
The provincial director of secondary, vocational and technical education, Serge Toe, highlighted the importance of regular participation in this ceremony. "The action we have just carried out this morning should be repeated every day in all establishments. Students, teachers as well as administrative staff must participate in order to maintain and promote this practice within our various educational structures," he stated.
The ceremony concluded with participants showing their determination to serve the nation, reinforcing the connection between education and patriotism.
