Manni: Educational supervisors, heads of departments, school directors, teachers, parents of students, and learners from the Basic Education District (CEB) of Manni participated in the traditional raising of the national colors at the Saint Michel school, focusing on the "eleven breaks" of the education system.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the national flag was raised precisely at 07:15 to the rhythm of the Ditany¨, sung by the students, in an atmosphere filled with civic-mindedness, discipline, and patriotic commitment. In his address, Dahani Marcellin Damolga, Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) of Manni, outlined the main directions of the "eleven breaks" undertaken as part of the national transformation dynamic. He declared that the time for timid adjustments is over, emphasizing the need for courageous transformations and calling for the effective and rigorous implementation of reforms.
These changes relate to the moralization of school management, the end of financial practices not aligned with government regulations, the strengthening of educational control, the promotion of endogenous and contextualized teaching, the enhancement of vocational training and promising professions, and the effective involvement of communities through school councils. It also includes fostering a culture of discipline, merit, and excellence. The CCEB stressed the prompt establishment of School Councils as essential for participatory governance and demanded the immediate reimbursement of improperly collected fees. Transparency and social justice were emphasized as cornerstones of the education system's reform.
Addressing the students, Damolga urged them to work diligently and own their learning, reminding them that school should become the foundation for an upright, competent citizen committed to the nation. He asked parents for constant support of school activities to adapt teaching to community realities, believing that school and family are two wings of the same bird. The head of basic education in the district also praised the host institution's commitment to promoting men's hairdressing, viewing it as an example of linking schooling to local socioeconomic opportunities.
The event at Saint Michel de Manni served as a framework for raising awareness and mobilizing educational stakeholders around the ongoing reforms, reflecting the local desire to fully integrate the school into the national dynamic of transformation.
