Ouagadougou: Two new peace ambassadors of the commune of Ramongo, Hamado Nabole and Barbi Rasmane Kabore, presented their certificates of recognition to the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune, Kouna Yvette Sare, at the town hall.
According to Burkina Information Agency, these awards were bestowed on June 20, 2026, at the Espace Dieudonne in Ouagadougou by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF), founded by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon. The recognition was given in appreciation of Nabole and Kabore's commitment to peace, social cohesion, and community development.
Hamado Nabole, a teacher at the An Nassihatou Franco-Arab school in Kabinou, was honored as an Ambassador of Peace for his dedication to education and moral development of youth. His efforts to promote tolerance, dialogue, and communal living contribute to the creation of a responsible and peaceful society.
Similarly, Barbi Rasmane Kabore, a member of the Koglweogo of Paologo and a native of Kabinou, received his recognition for his work in community security, social mediation, and peace preservation. His efforts are part of a larger initiative to enhance social cohesion and bring communities closer together.
Both recipients were joined by their mentor, Paul Marie Zoma, Head of the basic education district (CCEB) of Ramongo, who was named an ambassador of peace in 2013 by the same organization. Zoma shared his experience and advice, encouraging the new ambassadors to be models of integrity, responsibility, and peace promotion.
Kouna Yvette Sare, Chairperson of the Special Delegation, praised the distinctions, highlighting the honor it brings to the entire municipality of Ramongo. She encouraged the ambassadors to continue their commitment with humility and determination to uphold the ideals of peace, solidarity, and fraternity within the municipality and beyond, throughout Burkina Faso.
During the event, the new peace ambassadors expressed their gratitude to the Universal Peace Federation for their confidence. They reiterated their commitment to tirelessly working towards peacebuilding, enhancing social cohesion, and promoting harmonious coexistence in their communities.
In light of Burkina Faso's ongoing security and social challenges, this recognition underscores the potential for every citizen to act as a peacemaker through daily actions, dialogue, and commitment to the common good.
