Ouahigouya: The RASPCT 2025 conference concluded after two days of work with cultural and tourism promoters. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, Betamou Fidele Aymar Tamini, closed the 2025 session of the Administration-Private Sector Meeting on culture and tourism, Tuesday evening in Ouahigouya.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Tamini represented the Minister of Culture and Tourism and concluded two days of intensive discussions between government officials and representatives of non-state actors in the tourism and cultural sectors. The meetings focused on finding solutions to boost domestic tourism. The event included two presentations, four panel discussions, and sector-specific workshops. Twelve concerns for tourism stakeholders and eleven for cultural promoters were presented and debated, in addition to individual contributions from participants.

The Secretary General, Fidele Tamini, assisted by the Director General of Tourism, Monique Ouedraogo/Ilboudo, and the Director General of Culture and Arts, Moctar Sanfo, responded to the grievances of the stakeholders. The discussions also addressed the major challenges hindering the growth of the sectors concerned and explored avenues for action that will strengthen culture and tourism in their role as social and economic transformers of the country.

"My department remains committed to standing by your side," the Secretary-General stated, quoting his minister. "We will spare no effort to remain attentive to your needs and to support you to the best of our ability so that the actions undertaken have a concrete impact on the ground," added Mr. Tamini.

He invited each actor to return home to a "collective and constant" commitment to the realization of the vision of the President of Faso and the achievement of the objectives of the action plan for stability and development. The Secretary General of Yaadga, Pierre Claver Bance, welcomed the choice of his region to host this session as well as the large mobilization, the choice of theme, and the quality of the discussions.

The meeting between the Administration and the private sector in culture and tourism opened yesterday, Monday, under the theme "Cultural heritage and the promotion of domestic tourism: what synergy of action between actors for the development of the culture and tourism sectors?"
