Residents of Komondjari Reflect on Revolutionary Progress

Accra:Komondjari On the fourth anniversary of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP), residents in Komondjari province have shared their views on the governance under Captain Ibrahim Traor.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Daouda Ouoba from Tankoualou and Assibidi Lompo from Gayri praised the government's efforts, particularly in enhancing national sovereignty and security. They also suggested measures to bolster public initiatives.

Ouoba emphasized the government's dedication to strengthening national sovereignty and tackling security issues, noting significant decisions across various sectors. He acknowledged ongoing challenges in security, economic development, governance, and improving living conditions. Ouoba commended the mobilization of internal resources, defense initiatives, and the promotion of local production and consumption, along with support for youth and entrepreneurship.

Lompo highlighted key elements like patriotic re-engagement, pragmatic public action, and homegrown solutions, which have fostered a sense of belonging and civic engagement. He pointed to the bolstering of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), structuring of the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), and troop re-equipping. Lompo also noted initiatives for food self-sufficiency, national solidarity through the Patriotic Support Fund (PSF), and reorientation of international partnerships, including strengthening the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).

Both Ouoba and Lompo proposed further enhancements. Ouoba called for improved governance, transparency, and accountability in public resource management, alongside investments in youth employment, education, health, infrastructure, and security. Lompo advocated for better local communication, strengthened social cohesion, and increased accessibility of administration for remote villages, particularly in the Grand Est region.
