Ouagadougou: The foreign ministers of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES) met on Friday in Moscow with AES nationals residing in Russia, on the sidelines of consultations between the AES and the Russian Federation, reports the Malian press agency.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting, held in a fraternal atmosphere, saw the participation of Karamoko Jean-Marie Traor© of Burkina Faso, Abdoulaye Diop of Mali, and Bakary Yaou Sangar© of Niger. This gathering was aimed at strengthening the ties between the leaders and the diaspora.
The ministers outlined the objectives of their visit to Moscow and detailed the vision and ambitions of the AES heads of state. They expressed their commitment to addressing the aspirations of the Confederation's populations, including those in the diaspora, by tackling all concerns collectively.
The discussions also touched on key issues affecting the AES Community in Russia. Topics included the situation of students, the importance of adhering to the laws of the host country, and the need to adopt exemplary behavior to uphold the image of the Confederation's nations.
The ministers encouraged their compatriots to actively participate in defending the interests of the AES and contribute to its development through sustained commitment.
