Ouagadougou: The Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment, Mr. Anuyirtole Roland SOMDA, presided over a Grand Sub-regional Panel held in the Ouaga 2000 conference room. The event, themed "Popular Progressive Revolution: Role and Contribution of Wayiyan Pupils and Students," was attended by his counterparts from Mali and Niger, Mr. Abdoul Kassim FOMBA and Mr. Sidi MOHAMED. Minister SOMDA praised the initiative led by the Youth Movement R©veille-toi, a group now boasting over 50,000 members.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting gathered hundreds of young individuals from Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, all committed to playing a critical role in establishing a sovereign and responsible future. Mr. Rapha«l YONLI, President of the movement, emphasized the dedication of the youth to uphold the ideals promoted by the Alliance of Sahel States (AES). He declared, 'If anyone wants to attack the comrades leading the AES, they will have to pass over our bodies.' This statement reflects the strong loyalty, conviction, and patriotism of the youth determined to support and advance the values of sovereignty, discipline, and citizenship.
The panel offered a platform for engaging discussions between young leaders, public authorities, and experts from the three nations. It underscored the reforms initiated in each country to empower young people as pivotal contributors to development. The youth, aware of their responsibilities and full of innovative ideas, are focused on forging a promising future.
