Sanaba Community Unites for Road Maintenance on Sanaba-D©dougou Axis

Banwa: The populations of Sanaba are mobilizing for the maintenance of a portion of the Sanaba-D©dougou axis. The population of Sanaba, led by the first vice-president of the special delegation of the commune, Comrade Head of the Basic Education District (CCEB) Jean Konat©, organized on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, a session of general interest work, consisting of filling potholes with rubble, on a portion of the Sanaba-D©dougou axis.

According to Burkina Information Agency, from the day before the activity, the town crisscrossed all the districts of Sanaba to announce the news and invite the people to a general mobilization for the maintenance of a part of the Sanaba-D©dougou section. The day's work commenced around seven o'clock, with men, women, and young people coming together from all neighborhoods for the initiative called "Faso Baara".

Participants brought along wheelbarrows, carts, and tricycles loaded with stones and rubble to fill the potholes and other surface irregularities. Others arrived with picks and machetes, contributing by clearing the roadside bushes. Groups of young volunteers dug and gathered gravel, which they then applied onto the stones to compact the road surface. Despite the poor condition of the road, which slowed down the progress, the effort was well-organized by the youthful participants.

The representative of the PDS and first vice-president of the special delegation of the commune of Sanaba, Comrade CCEB Jean Konat©, commended the enthusiastic turnout and urged for continued efforts in promoting social cohesion among the community. He emphasized the significance of such community service projects, which are promoted by the Popular Progressive Revolution (PPR), and encouraged the participants to attend future sessions in large numbers.
