Sangui©: The Provincial Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education of Sangui© organized on Friday, August 28, at the Women's House in R©o, the provincial ceremony of academic excellence for its award winners.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event, under the theme "School Excellence and Patriotic Commitment: An Integrated Approach to Quality Education in Sangui©," gathered administrative, educational, customary, and religious authorities, as well as parents and educational stakeholders. Provincial director Bapian Yo highlighted the province's significant improvement in academic performance, showcasing a success rate increase from 60.27% in 2023 to 92.40% in 2026.

Yo attributed these achievements to the collective efforts of teachers, supervisors, parents, and authorities, urging continued progress for even greater success. Minister of Justice, Edasso Rodrigue Bayala, linked this progress to the education forum held in September 2023, which addressed provincial education challenges and formulated recommendations.

Minister Bayala expressed satisfaction with the results, emphasizing education's role in building a strong nation. He highlighted the objective of creating well-educated citizens to contribute to Burkina Faso's development. High Commissioner Talari Germaine Ouoba congratulated award winners for their dedication and encouraged combining academic success with patriotic commitment.

The ceremony also paid tribute to teachers who passed away in 2026 with a moment of silence. Around fifty award winners were recognized, including top students from various municipalities, the best preschool learners, and the best student with a disability. The province's top teacher, Edmon Bama, achieved a 100% pass rate on the CEP exam, attributing success to student dedication and teacher collaboration.

Sponsors, represented by Jules Bamouni, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting education in Sangui©, emphasizing the importance of academic excellence and other sectors. The ceremony concluded with a call to maintain momentum to further enhance academic performance.
