R©o:Sangui©: The province of Sangui© officially launched the 2026-2027 school year at the CEG of R©o, under the leadership of High Commissioner Talari Germaine Ouoba.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony included participation from administrative, political, and educational authorities, as well as several stakeholders from the education sector. Among the attendees were Esther Bamouni, Member of Parliament for the People's Legislative Assembly, and Sindi Issaka Arthur Zagr©, Prefect and President of the Special Delegation of the Commune of R©o, who delivered the welcoming address.
During the event, the High Commissioner urged all education stakeholders to enhance their commitment and collaborate to improve the academic performance of the province. She encouraged teachers, supervisors, and officials to strive for better national rankings, highlighting the potential within the province.
The provincial director of secondary education, Rasmata Guingan©, reassured attendees about the preparations made for the school year, emphasizing that extensive resources have been allocated to ensure a successful year. She called on all education participants to maintain order and discipline.
After the ceremony, discussions were held among the provincial director, the principal of the CEG in R©o, and other education stakeholders to address the challenges and expectations for the school year. The provincial delegation also visited Djor© Public Primary School to mark the start of the basic education level, accompanied by the provincial director of basic education, Bapian Yo, and the head of the Basic Education District of R©o.
MP Esther Bamouni emphasized the importance of unity and increased efforts to provide quality education for children during this occasion. Through these initiatives, provincial officials highlighted the need for collective action to enhance learning and academic outcomes in Sangui©.
The theme for the 2026-2027 school and academic year is "School and university governance, community engagement, and educational innovations: levers for quality education for all."
