Sapon©: The Sapon©-Ouagadougou inter-municipal line is officially operational as announced by K´ti No«l Sanou, the President of the special delegation of the commune of Sapon©. The operation of the buses of the public transport company, SOTRACO, was inaugurated on Thursday, June 18, 2026, in Sapon©, amidst much enthusiasm from community leaders and residents.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ceremony for the official launch of SOTRACO’s bus services was attended by a large turnout of the Sapon© community, including the canton chief, Naaba Sigri. The event was marked by welcoming remarks and blessings from Naaba Sigri, followed by a speech from Comrade Ousseni Porgo, the commercial officer at SOTRACO headquarters. Porgo highlighted the enhanced accessibility and safety the new inter-municipal line offers to students, pupils, and traders traveling to Ouagadougou.

K´ti No«l Sanou expressed gratitude to Burkina Faso’s authorities and SOTRACO’s Director General for facilitating the inter-communal line. He pointed out that the new connection will significantly benefit students, workers, and traders in Sapon©, while also contributing to a reduction in the frequency of accidents in the area.

Following the launch event, residents of Sapon© showed their appreciation by boarding two buses for a celebratory ride, marking the beginning of a more connected and convenient travel experience.
