Saudi authorities warn against transporting or harboring Hajj rule violators

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have warned citizens and residents of Makkah against harboring or transporting violators of the regulations and instructions for Hajj without a permit or visa.While noting that this exposes these offenders to sanctions, they stressed that any citizen and resident who harbored offenders will be subject to sanctions.The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah published on its social media accounts a video clip showing the campaigns carried out jointly by its field teams with the Ministry of Interior to apprehend violators and fraudsters, who promote false pilgrimage campaigns, addressing those who wish to perform the rites of Hajj by declaring: 'The choice is before you! A regular Hajj in good conditions in which you undertake to respect the regulations in force and in return you benefit from the services offered, or circumvent the laws and expose yourself to sanctions.For its part, the Saudi Ministry of the Interior indicated o n its social media accounts: 'Those who transport violators of the regulations and instructions of the Hajj and who have not obtained a permit to perform the rites of the pilgrimage will be punished fine, imprisonment or both,' emphasizing the need to adhere to Hajj regulations and instructions as a basis for preserving the safety and security of guests at the holy places of Islam.It should be noted that violators among citizens, residents and visitors of the regulations and instructions of Hajj without authorization are liable to a fine of 10,000 Saudi riyals, the expulsion of the violating residents to their countries and the ban on entering Saudi Arabia within the time limits provided for by current legislation.A prison term of up to six months and a fine of up to 50,000 Saudi riyals are also imposed on any person who transports violators of Hajj regulations and instructions without a permit, with confiscation of the means of transport by judicial decision, and the expulsion of the offending career, if he is an expatriate, and he is prohibited from entering the Kingdom according to the time limits specified by law.Source: Burkina Information Agency
