Zoundw©ogo: The agricultural Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in the commune of Gogo received improved seeds and agricultural equipment on Monday to strengthen their production capacity. The handover ceremony was presided over by the president of the Special Delegation (PDS) of Gogo, Issa Tiendr©b©ogo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, this allocation, consisting of improved seeds and various agricultural equipment, aims to strengthen the production capacities of the beneficiaries. It is part of the support for the 2026 agricultural campaign and the promotion of food sovereignty.
The PDS invited the beneficiaries to make responsible use of the kits made available to them in order to improve their yields and contribute to achieving the commune's production objectives.
He also urged them to preserve the spirit of unity, solidarity and commitment that characterizes agricultural VDPs, believing that they play an important role in strengthening community resilience and in the fight for food self-sufficiency.
The PDS also reaffirmed the commitment of the municipal authorities to continue supporting producers. Convinced that strengthening the capacities of rural stakeholders is a key driver for local development and the sustainable improvement of living conditions, it assured that the municipality will continue to support initiatives aimed at increasing agricultural production.
