Sindou and Douna Residents Acknowledge Development Efforts and Offer Suggestions

Sindou:Residents of Sindou and Douna have expressed their appreciation for the progress made under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traor©. They have acknowledged improvements in various sectors such as agriculture, health, and infrastructure, while also providing suggestions for further development.

According to Burkina Information Agency, as the 4th anniversary of Captain Ibrahim Traor©'s leadership approaches, residents have shared their opinions through street interviews. They highlighted enhanced access to agricultural inputs like subsidized seeds and fertilizers and noted the construction of a water tower and market gardening facilities as significant achievements.

Local agricultural activities have seen advancements with the involvement of the Volunteers for the Defence of the Homeland (VDP), who have initiated field clearing operations across the province. Additionally, programs aimed at financial empowerment and training for young people have been positively received, with initiatives like the Presidential Initiative for Community Development facilitating the creation of small businesses.

The provision of 20 tricycles in Sindou is particularly praised for enabling the employment of 40 young drivers, supported by the state. The anticipated recruitment of 200 agricultural VDPs further underscores the commitment to local development.

In health, services from mobile clinics and reduced costs for dialysis care are appreciated. A local mechanic, Aboubacar Coulibaly, expressed satisfaction with the current policies, noting the benefits of tricycles for job creation among young people.

Security improvements have also been noted by residents like shopkeeper Brahima Ouattara, who appreciates the current security policies for reducing local thefts. Farmers in Douna have suggested expanding the electricity network to further support regional development.

Lastly, hairdresser Kango Traor© commended the financial autonomy training she received and urged continued focus on strategies that support low-income populations.
