Sissili: The High Commissioner of Sissili Province, Tewende Isaac Sia, presided over the official installation ceremony for the members of the provincial coordination of the 'Faso-Mªbo' agency on Monday, April 6, 2026, in the meeting room of the High Commission in Leo. This structure, headed by Chief Warrant Officer Drissa Napon, is tasked with mobilizing local stakeholders around the development goals of the towns and villages of Sissili.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the province of Sissili now has its own branch of the Faso-Mªbo agency. In officially installing the coordination team, High Commissioner Tewende Isaac Sia emphasized that this act embodies a shared vision for development. "Joining this agency is not just a simple gesture; it is a true call to action. Our country is going through a pivotal period in its history, and development cannot be conceived without a solid foundation," declared the provincial authority.
The High Commissioner assigned the new team an essential "link" mission between the grassroots and national authorities, while urging them to demonstrate integrity and dedication. The six-member provincial coordination team comprises diverse profiles, including members of the defense and security forces, administrative experts, and civil society representatives.
The new coordinator, Chief Warrant Officer Drissa Napon, expressed his gratitude for the choice made in him, describing this mission as an "honor" in service to the community.
The establishment of the coordination office generated considerable enthusiasm among opinion leaders and community representatives. Azizou Yago, provincial coordinator of CSOs, welcomed a reality that was "long awaited," while Latifatou Nebie/Nignan, speaking on behalf of the women, expressed the hope that Leo would become a "model city."
Traditional authority also lent its blessing. The representative of the canton chief of Leo conveyed His Majesty's approval, specifying that the customary authority is firmly committed to supporting and developing this project for the benefit of all.
The establishment of this coordination body is merely the prelude to concrete actions on the ground. Indeed, the Faso-Mªbo agency will very soon transition from the administrative to the operational phase. It was on a note of hope and with the cry of "Homeland or death, we will prevail" that the High Commissioner concluded the ceremony, sending the members back to their missions for the advancement of Sissili.
