Sourou: The High Commissioner of the Sourou province, Desire Badolo, reassured the people of his province during the monthly rotating flag-raising ceremony at the Tougan municipal high school. The ceremony was attended by prominent figures from the province, members of the Defense and Security Forces, and a large gathering of education stakeholders.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Desire Badolo conveyed the message of President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, emphasizing that Burkina Faso is committed to a path of dignity and sovereignty. He encouraged the citizens to produce and consume with dignity, asserting the nation's dedication to self-reliance and pride.
Mr. Badolo addressed the current security situation in the province, urging the population to trust the armed forces and authorities, promote peace, and adopt behaviors that foster social cohesion. He praised the students for wearing Faso Dan Fani fabric, aligning with the ideals of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP) by supporting local consumption.
Boureima Lamizana, the principal of the Tougan municipal high school, expressed that the school's selection for the ceremony highlights the commitment of authorities to involve youth in the development of a new Burkina Faso. He encouraged students across the province to embody the values espoused by the President's message.
