Sourou Population Encouraged to Back Presidential Initiatives for Development

Sourou: Soumala Par©, the special envoy to the Presidency of Faso for the Sourou and Bankui regions, called on the people of the Sourou region to strongly support the presidential initiatives. This appeal was made during a conference held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Tougan with the attendance of administrative and customary authorities and numerous participants.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the conference led by Soumala Par© focused on presenting five key presidential initiatives. These initiatives include community development, quality education, health, achieving food self-sufficiency, and next-generation elite sports. Additionally, it was highlighted that the sixth initiative, Faso Mªbo, has now transitioned into an agency.

The importance of these initiatives was underscored as crucial for both local and national development. Soumala Par© noted the significant public interest in these government actions, as indicated by the strong turnout at the conference. He emphasized that many actions on the ground align with the presidential initiatives, often without the public's awareness.

The special envoy stressed the collective nature of merit during a revolution, urging the population to prioritize the common good over individual interests. Adama Ki, a participant, expressed that the conference provided clarity on the presidential initiatives, which had previously been misunderstood.

The High Commissioner of Sourou Province, D©sir© Badolo, praised the conference, stating it would enhance the population's mobilization around the implementation of presidential initiatives for their benefit. He encouraged widespread participation in public interest meetings, emphasizing the need to prioritize general interests over personal ones, while acknowledging that achieving effective mobilization remains a challenge.
