Kourittenga: The special delegation of the commune of Baskour© held its third ordinary session of the year on Friday, August 28, 2026. This session, which is part of the development of a local economic development strategy, was chaired by the President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Baskour©, Ousmane Ilboudo.
According to Burkina Information Agency, several points were on the agenda of this third ordinary session of the year of the special delegation of the commune of Baskour©. This included reading and amending the minutes of the previous session, taking deliberations, information, and miscellaneous matters. One of the key points examined during this session concerned the deliberation regarding the authorization of drilling operations in the municipality. Of the 18 members of the special delegation, 15 were present at this important meeting.
The participants appreciated the holding of this session and the approach taken by the special delegation. His Majesty Toessin-Naaba particularly welcomed this initiative which, according to him, promotes consultation between the different actors of the commune. For him, this meeting is an important initiative of the special delegation, as it allows members to come together around issues essential to the development of the municipality. 'I welcome the initiative of the special delegation which allowed us to meet and discuss the various issues concerning the development of our community. It is a very good initiative, because it allows everyone to understand the decisions that are being made and to contribute,' said His Majesty.
According to Toessin-Naaba, this session also allowed participants to better understand several issues and to give their opinions on the different topics examined. 'This meeting allowed us to understand many things. We had the opportunity to listen to explanations on the various points on the agenda, to ask questions and above all to give our opinions. This is a good thing because the development of the municipality must be everyone's business,' he said.
The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Baskour©, Ousmane Ilboudo, welcomed the mobilization and active participation of the members in this third ordinary session. 'I commend the strong participation of the members of the special delegation. Despite their various commitments, they were present to participate in this session. We also appreciate the various contributions and exchanges that enriched the debates,' added the PDS.
He stated that the objective of this session was achieved in view of the climate of consultation and the agreement reached on the various decisions. 'We can say that the objective has been achieved, because all the points that were examined have been concluded. The various deliberations were adopted with the agreement of the participants by a show of hands. This shows that we worked in a spirit of consultation and for the interest of the commune of Baskour©,' said Comrade Ilboudo.
Through the holding of this third ordinary session, the special delegation of Baskour© reaffirms its commitment to promoting participatory local governance. These consultation frameworks not only allow the various stakeholders to participate in decision-making, but also to raise awareness and inform the population about the actions and decisions taken in favor of the economic and social development of the municipality.
