Tannounyan: A total of 2,410 new high school graduates have successfully completed the 30-day Mandatory Patriotic Immersion (IPO) program, as announced during the official closing ceremony held at Place de la Nation in Banfora. Presided over by Patrice Y©y©, the Governor of the Tannounyan region and head of the IPO committee, the event marked the graduation of the second class of participants in this program.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the training focused on instilling patriotism, civic duty, discipline, solidarity, and community living among the young graduates. Governor Y©y© praised the commitment and perseverance exhibited by the participants, emphasizing that the program had transformed them into responsible citizens. He encouraged them to act as ambassadors of the values they acquired and to share these lessons with their families and communities.

During the ceremony, the governor expressed gratitude towards the supervisors, including those from the Defense and Security Forces, for their dedication to training the youth. He also recognized the contributions of the canteen staff, donors, and the welcoming community of Banfora. The governor reminded the graduates that while the immersion program had concluded, their journey of commitment to their country had just begun. He urged them to embody the values of hard work, discipline, and patriotism in their future endeavors.

Ruben Oliab Ou©draogo, speaking on behalf of the conscripts, highlighted the comprehensive theoretical and practical training they received. He assured the authorities of the participants' readiness to apply the knowledge and values gained during the program. The closing ceremony featured various artistic and cultural performances, such as choreography, slam poetry, and singing, adding a festive atmosphere to the conclusion of the IPO 2026 session.
