Ouagadougou: The Special Delegation of Man provided the main market of the commune with two garbage bins with a capacity of 7 m³ each on Saturday, September 5, 2026, on the occasion of the second phase of the National Vector Control Days (JNLAV).

According to Burkina Information Agency, this allocation aims to sustainably strengthen the sanitation of the large market by facilitating the collection and storage of waste and helping to reduce illegal dumping in this high-traffic area.

"This equipment will streamline waste collection and ensure proper storage," said Moussa Sawadogo, First Vice-President of the Special Delegation of Man. He called on traders and market users to adopt behaviors that promote hygiene.

The handover of the bins took place during a sanitation operation that mobilized administrative authorities, the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), paramilitary bodies, and citizens of Man. The participants cleaned the main public spaces of the municipality, including the large market, while also conducting awareness sessions with traders and residents on the importance of maintaining a clean environment and adopting hygiene practices on a daily basis.
