Balave: The president of the special delegation of the commune of Balave, Comrade Jules Kabore, initiated the special operation for issuing Burkinab¨ national identity cards (CNIB) by the Alliance of Sahel States on Friday, July 3, 2026, in the courtyard of the Balave town hall.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the special delegation of the commune of Balave, in collaboration with the National Identification Office (ONI) of Solenzo, organized a special operation to establish Burkinab¨ national identity cards of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) for the benefit of the populations of the commune of Balave.
This operation is set to last 72 hours, from Friday, July 3rd to Sunday, July 5th, 2026, and is expected to involve several hundred people. During the launch ceremony, PDS member Jules Kabore explained the reasons for this special identity document issuance operation.
Jules Kabore highlighted that many people in his community encounter issues with identity documents, which makes it challenging for them to travel and obtain certain administrative documents.
The head of the National Identification Office delegation, Comrade Bagnamou Bonde, expressed gratitude towards the municipal authorities for their efforts and praised the residents for their strong mobilization. He explained that to obtain a National Identity Card (CNIB), individuals must present an extract of their birth certificate or a supplementary birth certificate and a fee of 3,500 CFA francs.
Old Hamado Sankara, a shopkeeper in Balave, expressed his satisfaction with the initiative. He believes that this operation would resolve many issues, as some individuals were unable to travel to Solenzo or Bobo-Dioulasso to conduct their affairs.
