Stallions vs. Sharks Result: Burkina Faso Ambassador to Morocco Hails Stage Victory


El Jadida: The Ambassador of Burkina Faso to the Kingdom of Morocco, Mamadou Coulibaly, welcomed on Friday, speaking to the AIB special envoy, the “stage victory” of the Stallions of Burkina against the national team of Djibouti (4-1) at the El Abdi stadium in El Jadida, Morocco.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the Burkinabe diplomat expressed gratitude to the Almighty for facilitating the victory, attributing it to divine mercy and grace. He lauded the players for their persistent efforts throughout the match, which resulted in four goals. Ambassador Coulibaly conveyed his delight at the outcome, acknowledging the hard work exhibited by the team in both offensive and defensive plays.



The match was part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and took place at the El Abdi stadium in El Jadida, a city located approximately 108 kilometers from Casablanca and 187 kilometers from Rabat in Morocco. Coulibaly extended his congratulations to the technical staff for their unwavering support and guidance provided to the players during preparation and the match itself, as well as to the supportive fans who played a crucial role in the victory.



Emphasizing the importance of maintaining humility, Coulibaly described the win as a “stage victory” and urged the team to stay focused for their upcoming match in a few days. He encouraged the team to celebrate the current achievement modestly while preparing for future challenges.



The goals for the Burkina Faso Stallions were scored by Josu© Tiendr©b©ogo in the 12th minute, captain Bertrand Traor© in the 33rd minute, Mohamed Zoungrana in the 47th minute, and Franck Lassina Traor© in the 67th minute. Djibouti’s team managed to reduce the score with a penalty successfully converted by S. Akinbinu in the 88th minute.



The Stallions are set to face Guinea-Bissau in their next match scheduled for Monday.
