Students at Bomborokuy County High School Express Gratitude to Teachers

Koosin: Students from the Bomborokuy County High School organized a week of recognition for teachers from Monday, May 4 to Sunday, May 10, 2026. The initiative aimed to foster respect, gratitude, and cohesion within the school community by involving students, parents, and teachers in various activities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the week-long recognition program included events such as the raising of the national colors, a popular cross-country race, and an aerobics session that concluded the sporting activities. A courtesy visit also took place, contributing to the overall success of the event.

Oumar Gnoumou, the head of the Bomborokuy departmental high school, commended the initiative, noting that it reinforced values of respect and recognition among the school members. The senior education advisor, HervE TraorE, who served as the president of the organizing committee, expressed hope that the event would become a tradition. He emphasized that the week of recognition focuses on self-esteem as a precursor to accepting others.

The closing ceremony on May 10th featured artistic performances, marking the end of a week dedicated to celebrating the vital role of teachers in the education and development of young students.
