Students Lead Sanitation Efforts in Tougan with Successful Clean-Up Initiative

Sourou: Students from the Burkina Suudu Bawd¨ (BSB) Provincial Vocational Training Center and the Tougan Technical High School organized a sanitation day on Thursday, March 12, 2026, targeting five public and private services in the city. During the event, learners focused their efforts on cleaning the grounds of the Provincial Directorate in charge of Secondary Education, the Humanitarian Action Service, the Red Cross, the Municipal Police, and the Environment Service.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Cedric Bembaba, head of the BSB center, highlighted that this activity is part of an annual initiative by learners designed to support the cleanliness and maintenance of city services. "Each year, our students organize a clean-up day to contribute to the cleanliness of some services in order to promote a healthy and efficient working environment," Bembaba stated.

The Provincial Director of Secondary, Vocational, and Technical Education for Sourou, Joseph Karambiri, praised the initiative taken by the students from both schools. He extended his congratulations to them and encouraged the continuation of such activities. Karambiri emphasized that these efforts demonstrate the students' collaborative spirit and significantly contribute to enhancing the learning environment.
